Greystoke Village Hall car park Icold Road (B5288) CA11 0TW

This ride takes you from the historic village of Greystoke with its castle to the recently opened Eycott Hill Cumbria Wildlife Trust reserve. By pre-arrangement a Cumbria Wildlife Trust guide will provide an informative walk round the reserve where you can learn about the work of the trust, the Eycott Hill environment and wildlife habitat. The route includes some long but steady climbs and descents but the effort is rewarded with stunning views of nearby Blencathra and the northern Lake District fells. Please bring appropriate clothing and footwear for a walk over uneven and wet ground. ( Transport will be provided for walking boots etc.) Cycle parking is available at Eycott Hill Nature Reserve but please bring your own lock. After learning what makes the nature reserve so special it's back to the Greystoke Cycle Café for tea and cake via Johnby and Greystoke Forest
