Explore the Grasmere Trail

This a great ride for active families and leisure cyclists. It is led by trained Lake District National Park volunteer rangers who are keen cyclists themselves and is the first in a series of rides for 2017 to encourage visitors and residents alike to explore by bike. The route follows the new Grasmere Trail which links Ambleside to the historic village of Grasmere via parkland, lake shores, quiet minor roads and improved bridleways. There will be time for refreshment in Grasmere or, if the weather is good, a picnic or paddle on the shore of Rydal Water or Grasmere. This is a Lake District National Park organised ride so there is a small administrative charge of £5 (children under 16 are free but must be supervised by a responsible adult.
