Explore the Deerness and Browney valleys

Join us for a 12 mile summer evening’s jaunt through the lovely countryside west of Durham City along the Deerness and Browney Valleys to include a short pub stop half way. Most the ride will be off road on well surfaced railway paths. The remaining will be on road but these are not normally busy. Suitable for any bike unless you’ve very skinny road tyres. Along the valleys the route is flat but we will be crossing over from the Deerness to the Browney Valley which means climbing quite a big hill, however, it is not that long and we’ll be stopping at the pub at the top. I would advise to come with lights and dress suitably for the weather. . Please try to book at least 24 hours before the start of the ride.
