Starting from the quayside we head to traffic free paths along Haven Banks through Riverside Valley Park before following the Exeter Ship Canal all the way to the Turf Lock Hotel. Passing the pub (don't worry, we'll stop on the way back!) we continue south on the banks of the River Exe to the end of this section of the Exe Estuary Trail, which is part of National Cycle Route 2, a mile from Starcross. Here we'll turn around and head back to the pub for refreshment....
