Starting point

DY6 8AT

Start along Park Lane, Kingswinford by the entrance to King George VI Park, near the church.

This will be an undulating ride starting in a residential area and going into lanes with a stop at a pub for refreshments before returning along a different route. Begin the ride through the park and come out on Green Lane and then ride along residential roads, crossing the A491 and coming out on Swindon Road. Turn left to traffic lights and then right along Lodge Lane. Where it meets the A449 cross straight over (with care) on to a track that comes out at the bottom of Doctor’s Lane. Turn right, over Ashwood Marina and left onto Ashwood Lower Lane, passing the Navigation Inn. Take the middle of three lanes uphill and then descend to Enville Common Road. Turn left and immediately righ to meet Highgate Road. This is gently undulating for about a mile or so, then turn left onto Crab Lane and descend, passing Halfpenny Green Airport. Go straight over Six Ashes Road and take first right along Pear Tree Lane to Heathton. Turn left to The Gate Inn for refreshments. On the return leg, ride passed Pear Tree Lane and continue along Tom Lane. Just after passing Halfpenny Green Vineyard (pictured), turn right to climb up Thimble Mill Lane to the golf club and then on to some trees at the top. Enjoy an exhilarating descent and turn right along Church Road into Swindon. Turn left and then first right along Hinksford Lane and Swindon Road to the crossroads at Wall Heath. Cross straight over to the roundabout on the A449 (care). Cross straight over and take first left up hill along Maindendale Road to retrace residential roads back to King George VI Park.
