Evening potter to Pub at Welford

This will be a very moderately paced ride, following a combination of cycle paths, road and a bridleway, mostly flat, no major hills - and a pub stop for refreshment! We will pedal out of Stratford on a cyclepath to reach the Luddington road, then ride to Welford and stop for a drink at the Shakespeare (near the maypole). Then, if the ground is dry enough, we will ride off-road all the way back to the start, via a bridleway and the Greenway. If wet (or wet-ish) we can take a road part way instead. It's all very pretty, and if the weather cooperates, it could be quite a magical evening. Or if not, then it will very pleasant anyway! If you have lights, please put them on your bikes. If the weather is grey, then I suggest lights are essential. If you will be riding home afterwards from the start (I will) then lights are compulsory. We will be riding on some tracks, so there are some bumpy bits but nothing extreme. The main requirement is a bicycle in good working order (e.g., good brakes, tyres pumped up, chain oiled). A helmet is advised, but not compulsory, and a water bottle is a good idea. A spare inner tube is also recommended but please don’t worry if you do not have one, I carry a few tubes and a small tool kit.
