From Burnside, we go through Croftfoot, on to Cathcart and follow the route to Pollok Park. It's then on to Cardonald and Braehead where we take paths and roads on the south side of the Clyde through to Erskine. After a stop at Caulders Garden Centre, we cross the bridge and head back along NCN 7/75 to Shawfield and then to Burnside.
Please be aware that we aim for an average speed on the move of 10 – 11 mph. This is not the route for you if you are looking for a fast road ride.

This is what I call a leisure ride. We will not be going too fast but we try to maintain a minimum speed on the move of 10 mph. The route tries to avoid busy roads and we will be using quiet roads, cycle paths and shared paths as much as possible. We leave and finish outside Hugh's Restaurant in Burnside. This is the route: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/44498083

The route follows NCN cycle paths, shared paths, and quiet roads as much as possible. There is one section of ‘busy’ road, Menock Road as we head for Cathcart.

We'll stop at Caulders Garden Centre for coffee and cake, or whatever your choice, before crossing the bridge. https://www.caulders.co.uk/restaurants/

This is Scotland and as we all know, the weather can be ‘variable’. Please check the forecast before leaving and come prepared. If the weather looks to be really terrible, the ride is likely to be cancelled.

First-timers welcome but please check the anticipated cycle speed.
