If seeing a quieter side of Ambleside and Windermere sounds appealing to you then this ride is just for you. This 17 mile route is all about getting away from the busy usual tourist spots and seeing just how beautiful, peaceful and inspiring Lake Windermere is from the western shore. Along the route you take in the fantastic Wray Castle as well as Esthwaite Water and the quaint village of Hawkshead. There are a few hills along the way but at a nice steady pace you will be rewarded with great views!
