Leaving the EcoHub the route goes through Erdington to Chester Road. Following the cycle route to Castle Bromwich Hall and Gardens we will then join the River Cole Greenway to Sheldon Park and the Airport.

This is a Pype Hayes Community Ride. Riders are advised to wear helmets, but it is not obligatory. Bikes need to be in good working order. The EcoHub has bicycles that can be loaned out if required. If you have not joined a Pype Hayes Cycling UK ride before we would ask that you complete a new participant form.

A looped route to Birmingham Airport/Sheldon Country Park.

The route takes in a mixtures of roads, cycle ways, canal towpaths and park paths.

We will stop once at Sheldon Park for a drink and comfort break.

Riders should dress for the weather and it is advisable to wear a helmet. Cash/card will be needed to purchase a drink and snack at the Country Park Tea Rooms. Riders are advised to wear helmets and dress for the weather. Stops for comfort breaks etc will be taken before we arrive at the Park. Riders are advised to bring bike locks etc. E-bikes welcome. The ride is being held in conjunction with The Active Well-being Society, who are providing bicycles for those who need to borrow, on a first come first served basis. You will need to bring either your Active Well-being card (available free of charge from www.theaws.co.uk), or some ID showing your name and address.
