About the route
A training ride for women prodominantly entered in the forthcoming Mansfield Road Club Big Red Ride on 2nd March. (Road Bikes)
We will be heading from Matlock initially on main roads through Tansley, Whatstandwell on to country lanes and B roads taking in Alport Heights along a ridge giving wonderful views over the Derbyshire countryside. On to Ecclesbourne for cafe stop before returning via Idridge Hay, Wirksworth and Cromford.
For anyone wanting slightly longer time in the saddle this 30 miler will be relaxed and enjoyable but also give you the chance to push your distance and fitness that little bit further.
Please bring spare inner tube and a water bottle with you, as well as cycling gear to cover all weather conditions.
Cycle Helments are highly recommended.
