Our route starts at Mary Stevens Park near the Bandstand, We then head out through Norton and along Sugar Loaf Lane, crossing the Norton Road out into the countryside near Churchill. We follow Stakenbridge and Broome Lane's to pick up a tarmac track near the church in Broome, this goes between the fields onto Hackman's Gate Lane and then into Belbroughton. We climb out of Belbroughton into Lower Clent and the coffee stop. The return journey is also via a part of Broome Lane, after a short while we pick up a track that takes up back into Western Road and then onto Worcester Lane in Hagley before making our way back to the park.
(If anyone wants to avoid the climb in Sugar Loaf Lane or simply wants a slightly flatter, easier route we have an option that heads to the coffee stop via Hagley. Just let us know at the start and we will split the group).

A nice steady Saturday afternoon ride which is easily shortened and is ideal for beginners.

A lot of the roads we plan to use will be quiet country lanes with light traffic. There are climbs on the main route but if you feel the need to push we will happily wait and re-group at the top. If you are less confident you could opt for a slightly shorter and flatter option, we will give you a choice at the start and we'll re-group at the cafe.

We plan to have a coffee stop at Clent Nurseries which is well over half way around the ride, we then have a fairly gentle run back to the park.

Helmets are advisable as is carrying a pump, a tube that fits your bike, water bottle and money for a drink (cards are accepted at the cafe).

We are quite keen to encourage new riders so go at the pace of the slowest rider, we never leave anyone behind.
