Easy Breezy along the riverbanks

Start Millennium Place DH1 1WA
This is the ride for you, if you’ve been thinking about joining us but haven’t got round to it yet. It is a lovely short ride which we’ll take at a leisurely pace and the perfect way to ease yourself in to joining a group ride.
We’ll start from outside The Gala Theatre, Millennium Place DH1 1WA and will pedal the riverbanks. It is largely off road and flat but with a short uphill at Bent House Lane. It wouldn’t be a true Durham ride without a little bit up!
The ride is most suitable for hybrid bikes as it is mainly good quality riding surface.
In order for the ride to leave promptly, please be punctual so we can carry out bike checks, etc. prior to us setting off. Please make sure your bike is in working condition and bring a spare tube to fit your tyres. We should be riding for about an hour and there will be the option to stop for a cuppa/drink once back in town.
As always we can’t predict the weather so please dress suitably. You are better to be overdressed as you can always take layers off.
For any last minute cancellations on the day please text 07708327943 but note this phone is only for the day of the ride, otherwise use the option to cancel when you log in to letsride.co.uk. If the weather is poor and we decide to cancel we will contact you by 8.30am on the day. If you have not heard from us the ride is still going ahead.
