Easy Breeze train to Langley Park

Due to the weather conditions this ride has been altered. It will now start from COUNTY HALL car park. We will cycle to Newton Hall via Aykley Heads Wood then make our way to Frankland Prison and descend back into Durham. We will stop at Crook Hall for a hot drink before our return to County Hall.


Starting from Broompark Picnic Park, we will cycle along the Lanchester Railway Path to Langley Park. Here we will admire Durham Spray Paints picture of a goods train before we return back to Broompark. There will be a cafe stop either in Langley Park or at Aldin Grange Fishery.

This ride is suitable for anyone who wants to get into cycling, returning after a long absence or just fancies a short ride.

In order for the ride to leave promptly, please arrive in plenty of time so we can carry out bike checks, etc. prior to us setting off. Please make sure your bike is in good working condition before leaving home. We always recommend you bring a spare inner tube to fit your tyres and tyre levers. At this time of year, the weather can be cold and wet so please ensure you layerup in warm and waterproof clothing. It is better to be overdressed and remove layers as you warm up. Helmets are highly recommended.
