Eastrop to Hartley Wintney and Odiham

This ride goes out through Basing, up the hill to Newnham, to Rotherwick then to Hartley Wintney. Then completes the loop home via Odiham, and Greywell / Up Nately. It is mostly on side roads, with a bit on cycle paths and a short stretch on main roads within Hartley Wintney and Odiham. Approx pace 8 mph – so will be leisurely. We’ll have a café stop at some stage, probably H Wintney or Odiham. Meet under the bandstand (by the boating lake) in Eastrop Park. If parking is an issue have a word with the park keepers. Use any bike type so long as it’s in working order (though only use knobbly tyres / mountain bike if you know you can do the distance ok). Make sure your tyres are well inflated. • Bring a spare inner tube, tyre levers and pump (preferably plus puncture repair kit). • Also bring money / bike lock for café. • Please wear clothing appropriate for the weather (that won’t get caught in your chain etc).
