Early Evening Sunshine from Talgarth

From Talgarth we head up towards Pengeffordd. In order to avoid some bumpy bridleway, we have a short section of main road until we turn left to get on to a quiet lane that runs parallel to the main road, with beautiful views of the mountains. These lanes are used by farmers and can in places, be muddy, pitted and gravelly. At Cwmdu, we cross over the main road and take back lanes, skirting around the base of Mynydd Llangorse towards Bwlch. We then do a big loop around Llangorse Lake and return to Talgarth.

If you are free and fancy getting out on your bike for some fresh air, fun and non-competitive exercise, join us on a fabulous bicycle ride starting and finishing outside Talgarth Mill (Max. 8 participants). It will be a circular route, using mainly quiet country lanes, with a few steep hills to hone up your fitness. This ride will be led at a social pace, with no one left behind. All adult cyclists are welcome.

Plenty of opportunity to stop on-route to catch your breath, have a drink and enjoy the views.

Please bring a well-maintained bicycle, wear a helmet, gloves and appropriate clothing for the weather. It is essential at this time of year to have a good set of lights, for both the front and rear of your bike, although we do hope to complete the ride in daylight. Remember to carry a drink, snack, a spare tube, puncture repair kit, lock and pump if you have them.
