A gentle 'there and back' route along the cycle path to the Pant Yr Ardd pub in Tregarth, starting at Port Penrhyn in Bangor - perfect for a summer evening. This ride is almost all on the cycle track (traffic free) which is along an old railway line, with just a couple of hundred metres on the quiet road to the pub in Tregarth where we will stop for about half an hour - bring some money if you want to buy a drink, hopefully we can sit in the beer garden as the forecast is good. It is slightly up hill on the way there and therefore slightly downhill on the way back, but is a gentle ride suitable for most and we will go at the pace of the slowest rider. It's a good idea to bring a spare inner tube (but not essential). It is up to you whether you wear a cycling helmet. Please arrive by 5.20pm for a pre-ride bike check and quick warm up. If you want to join us at the Pant yr Ardd we usually get there at 6 or a few minutes after, and then leave again at about 6.30pm. Some women who live in Tregarth / Bethesda have cycled down to Port Penrhyn in time for the start of the ride, and cycled back up with us and then gone home after a drink.
