Durham to Croxdale Christmas Breeze

TRADITIONAL CHRISTMAS BREEZE FANCY DRESS Starting on the Palace Green, outside Durham Cathedral, we will pedal across Prebends Bridge up Potters Bank and join the Bishop Auckland Railway Path in Langley Moor. We will then head across on quiet roads to Sunderland Bridge. The route then climbs up the bank past Croxdale house and through the estate to meet the A181 at Bowburn. We will then follow the road into Durham and stop for a well earned coffee and slice of something at the Cathedral Café, allowing ample opportunity for fellow visitors to admire our festive array. Recommended for children 10+ due to cycling alongside the busy A181 between Bowburn and Shincliffe. This is a fancy dress ride - cycling goodies will be overflowing for the best dressed bike and rider. This will be hotly contested and we do recommend weeks of preparation. As this ride has been scheduled close to Christmas, there is a likelihood of adverse weather. Please ensure that you dress appropriately for the this. Fingers crossed for a lovely crisp winter ride. Please also bring along some money for refreshments, we will be dining at the Cathedral at the end of the ride. We look forward to seeing you.
