About the route
Starting point
Browns Boat House, Durham - beneath Old Elvet Bridge. The postcode is DH1 3AF.
This route follows the riverside path from the centre of Durham along to Maiden Castle sports centre where it crosses the Wear and returns past the bluebells, rugby, rowing and cricket clubs.
An easy, very picturesque cycle for all ages.
