This route starts at the Borough Arms car park, from there we will join onto the trail and cycle down to Grogley Halt, at which point we will leave the trail. This will take us on to the back lanes towards Ruthernbridge, which is a road with a fairly smooth surface. We will continue on and at Ruthernbridge go towards Withiel/Roche, this is a gentle hill which for the most part you will not really notice your going up hill although there are a few steeper bits. There is so much to see as you go along this road, from old army vehicles to goats playing in the field!
Once we get to the top we will cycle along the road with the containers on and follow this to the main road. At this point we will join the cycle path along the pavement, which takes you across the A30 junctions and the bridge, this part is completely off road!
The majority of the way back is down hill, so we can have a slow roll and chat as we go.
Please bring with you some money for drink/cake, a spare inner tube, you can find your wheel size by looking at your tyre, halfords sell inner tubes cheaply and are usually helpful and a lock if you have one. If you do have any issues with the inner tube and lock, do not be put off coming on the ride, just message me and I will try and help in any way I can!
We will be cycling at an average speed of around 6-8mph but on the way back it will be slightly faster as it is downhill.
If you do have any queries about the route or want any advice please just send me a message I will go through anything you want to know!
