Please read the Post LockDown Rules at the bottom of this description.

This is a flat ride for the most part, apart from the hill up to the top of Blackheath, the rest of it is pan flat as it runs along the Thames either going upstream. As with any guided ride, nobody is left behind.

It’s out of Eltham Park and then Via Welling way and then out of Welling via Quiet roads towards Thamesmead. Once we get to West Heath we make a fast descent to the ruins of Lesnes Abby and are then on traffic-free roads thru Thamesmead and the Thames Ridgeway and onto the Thames Pathway all the way to Greenwich. We pass Tiptree Point and a raft of new developments alongside the river and suddenly we see Canary wharf, the Cable car across the Thames and the Thames Barrier. then it’s into the Greenwich Peninsular and the O2 centre before we finally arrive at the Greenwich Royal Naval College and the Cutty Sark, where there is a refreshment stop. then up to Blackheath and along with a mixture of cycle paths and very quiet roads to Eltham Park

Please remember to bring money for coffee, spare tubes, a pump, tyre levers and something to drink and eat whilst out on the ride.
