Starting point

Perthshire
PH1 5HT

Starting from outside Bells Sports Centre on Perths North inch we cut up into Muirton and follow the road through there past the Old Grammar School onto Bute Drive. We then cut across and follow the cycle path up the banks of the River Tay and then along the River Almond to the lower reaches of Almondbank. Here we divert on to the road through the village over the narrow bridge and up the hill. This hill can challenge us. From there its into Pitcairngreen past the pub then left on the Methven road. We take a right up the hill to the Lyndoch Dry Arch and then downhill to Moneydie. It's then on the rolling road to Redgortton before the climb back to Pitcairngreen. Here we track back via Almondbank on to the cycle path to return to the North Inch.

We can stop whenever we want or need to! Sometimes we will stop to catch our breath, sometimes we will stop to take a photo, sometimes we will stop to take in the view - we're out to enjoy ourselves, so please let the ride leader know if there are any stops you want us to make.

Please dress for the weather, wearing whatever is comfortable for you on the bike. Generally clothing should not flap about at the ankles, as it can get caught in the chain, and watch for any clothing catching on the saddle. Be prepared for a typical Scottish summers evening!

Bring water a helmet and whatever you might need should you get a puncture.
