This is a 'challenging' 57 mile ride from the Leisure Centre and covering flat, undulating and winding roads, with ascents and descents to delight! Our route will take you on a gentle start out to Hutton and over to Tibthorpe before we start a gentle climb to the village of Huggate. After an idyllic Breeze through Millington Pastures, we will head for the World Peace Cafe at Kilnwick Percy for a tranquil stop for coffee, cake and chat, before we head onwards and upwards to Great Givendale. We normally cycle up Robert Fuller's hill, however, on this occasion we will descend into Thixendale from Garrowby top and cycle along to the 'other' hill out of the Dale and once again cross over the main Driffield to York road and return to Huggate, with a second stop for refreshments if needed. From there we will make our way through the village and beyond, to turn off for North Dalton, Bainton, Neswick and Hutton, before winding our way back to Driffield. The elevation is just over 2,100ft,
As you know, we always advise you wear a helmet and please remember to check the forecast before the ride and wear suitable clothing for the day. Please bring at least one water bottle on a long ride and don't forget to make sure you have enough tools and spares tubes, should you be unfortunate enough to have a puncture or technical failure. Please also bring some more for refreshments.
As with all our rides, should we have to cancel the ride due to adverse weather conditions, we will endeavour to inform all registered participants beforehand and there will always be a Breeze Champion at the start venue.
Look forward to you joining us. Julie, Justine, Emma and Sue xxxx
