YO25 6XL

BELL MILLS GARDEN CENTRE, Skerne Road Driffield

We have an early start for a tour of the Wolds beginning in Driffield, the Capital of the Wolds.  We will head out towards Skerne, along the same route as 'The Way of the Roses' before turning off to the village of Hutton. After we cross the Beverley road, we take the quiet lanes through Southburn and Neswick before entering Bainton and heading up towards North Dalton. We will then climb up to Huggate and along the road by Millington Woods. We will visit the beautiful village of Warter and then wind our way back to Middleton-on-the-Wolds, where we can stop for refreshments. Onwards to picturesque Lund before we turn off to Cawkeld and then cross over the Beverley road once more to Watton and Hutton Cranswick. From Hutton it is a gentle ride back to Bell Mills via Skerne. It’s a good idea to bring some water, snack to keep you going and sun cream if it’s hot! Wearing a helmet is advisable; if you don’t have one please do not to worry you can still take part.  If you enjoy the bike ride and would like to come again perhaps you could look to buy one then.  We really welcome newcomers to our rides; we will always ride at the pace of the slowest rider so no one is left behind. All you need is a roadworthy bike, sensible clothing and a bit of enthusiasm. It helps to have a spare inner tube of the correct size - just in case. Look forward to seeing you there!
