DRIFFIELD FOUR SEASONS BREEZER - SUMMER EVENING CYCLE

Running every second and fourth Thursday evening of the month during the summer months we will be taking short ladies bike rides out on a regular basis. The set route is as follows: Leaving Drifffield we will head down past the railway station and out past Bell Mills towards Skerne where will will turn left to Wansford.  At Wansford we go right, past the church and straight up to Nafferton.  Once in the village of Nafferton we turn right, past the duck pond and leave Nafferton down Carr Lane, which brings us back to Wansford where we will re-trace our steps back to Driffeld for well-deserved refreshments at the Red Lion Pub. It’s a good idea to bring some water, a snack to keep you going and as the evenings are now drawing in it is essential you have lights fitted to your bike.  Also suggest that you wear bright colourded clothing to make you easily visible to other road users. Wearing a helmet is advisable; if you don’t have one please do not to worry you can still take part.  If you enjoy the bike ride and would like to come again perhaps you could look to buy one then.  We really welcome newcomers to our rides; we will always ride at the pace of the slowest rider so no one is left behind. All you need is a roadworthy bike, sensible clothing and a bit of enthusiasm. It helps to have a spare inner tube of the correct size - just in case. Look forward to seeing you there! Don’t forget….
