LS19 7UR

Join us for a ride to see the Dragon Boat Racing at Roundhay Park, it will be a fun day out

If you cant get to the start point, there is an option to take the train to Guiseley, you will be met and assisted to the start point

This is predominately a road ride with some sections of trail, a couple of busy sections and narrow lanes

Turning right out of Yeadon Tarn we will head round the runway down Cemetery Road turning left onto Carlton Lane, right up Mall Lane and onto the Chevin. Heading down York Gate we will turn left then a quick right onto Bramhope Old Lane and Old Lane across the A658, then turn right down Occupation Lane to pick up Moor Road and Cookridge Lane, turning left at Pinfold Lane and enter Golden Acre Park through the woods.

Heading up the Meanwood trail to King Lane we will head to Eccup Reservoir, follow the YW road and across Harrogate Road round the back of Leeds Grammar School coming out on Wigan Lane, Roundhay Park Lane, then into Roundhay Park for lunch.

Heading out of Roundhay Park we will head along Street Lane, turning right down Roman Avenue onto the ring road cycle lane, turning right onto Harrogate Road, then left onto Sandmoor Drive, Alwoodley Lane and King Lane back to Golden Acre, Breary Lane, Old Lane and pick up the start route back to the tarn.

Lunch at Roundhay Park, bring your own packed lunch, there is a cafe/restaurant, (it is always busy) or you can pop over the road to Tropical World Cafe

This has been done on a road bike with skinny tyres, there are two gravel sections, one short stretch that would have to be walked, if its been raining you would need to be competent riding through a woodland path
