Back to the full mid week rides again, a little bit of a special ride for you too. So today I'd like to introduce you to a rather classy area, and the choice of two superb cafe stops (what's a ride without a decent cafe stop. Down to Whalley and from there up through Wiswell and into Pendle Country. Don't be alarmed though, we only flirt with the bottom flanks of Pendle Hill. From here it's down across the main A59 and out through Chatburn to Downham. I could go on all day about the beauty of this Village, but I'll save some of the points for the day. First choice of a stop is here at the very excellent Greendale cafe just out of Downham. From here it's an idyllic little lane back to Worston, keeping Pendle in view to our left. It's then over to Clitheroe and back via Eddisford and Mitton to the second choice of a cafe stop at the popular Whalley Abbey stop. A couple of steady climbs along the way for this one but nothing to taxing and all ridden as normal at a pace to suit all riders on the day. I think this is such a good ride it may become a regular.
