About the route
A leisurely ride, all on the flat and at a gentle pace. We cycle east out of York along a disused railway line to Murton. Then we turn south along quiet country lanes to follow the east bank of the River Derwent to Pig in the Willow cycle café near East Cottingwith. After a break for coffee and cake, we return via the same route back to York.
