This is a TOUGH ride, particularly good for riders in training for the Great Dorset Bike Ride on 1st June (or similar, challenging sportive or cycling holiday).

We head out on the familiar NCN2 from Max Gate, through West Stafford and Woodsford, then turn north through Tincleton. After passing through Tolpuddle, we head north again towards Milton Abbas. The highlight (and most northerly point) of the ride is at the top of Bulbarrow Hill where you can see four counties on a good day (Wiltshire, Somerset, Devon and Dorset).

After catching our breath we then loop round and down through Higher Ansty, Dewlish, and Troy Town to find ourselves on more familiar roads through Bockhmapton before turning towards Dorchester.

This is a long and challenging route. Riders must be prepared for a tough ride with plenty of water and snacks, as well as inner tubes and tools. We will stop once (maybe twice) along the way, but expect a brisk pace and lots of lung busting climbs. This is not for the faint hearted!
