The route is suitable for those who have ridden a blue trail before. There are a couple of small sections that are more of a red route - however, these can be walked - or we can break it down into small chunks to have a go at. We will assess this when we arrive at the section. The majority though is fire road, old broken road - Sarn Helen, and a few fields. We do the the worst of the hill over with near the beginning - but we can also look at this like a small challenge:)...thats also walkable. please bring any meds you may need - we will be in more of a remote area so this is important.

I have discussed a special rate for food at the Plas Penaeldroch manor for lunch - depending on numbers. Let me know if you will be staying around for lunch - hopefully around 1pm.

Starting at PLAS PENAELDROCH MANOR www.penaeldroch.co.uk we will meet at 9.45 and leave by 10am. The route has beautiful scenery - its made up of some of the Old Sarn Helen route, a few fields and forest tracks. We will finish back at the Manor for lunch ;)

Most of the route is traffic free, however there is a very small amount of road - mainly backroad. There are a number of hills - however, you are welcome to walk up these if necessary. We will be taking it at a social pace. The ride is slightly longer than normal, and will have an element of remoteness, but the view of Moel Siabod and some of the surrounding mountains are stunning.

There won't be an official stop, until the end - however, please bring snacks and drink with you for on the way around. We can then finish off with a hearty lunch - the cafe does some great home cooked food, and they are very warm and welcoming. Oh..and if you like little old churches, theres a fantastic one in the village - just next to a shop incase you forget your snacks.

Please bring helmets - its a must, gloves are advisable, but also bring with you water, snacks, spare layers any tools you normally carry and inner tubes. I will carry my usual leaders kit plus some! Water and snacks are important as is your own medication if you need any - we will be more remote than usual.

We never leave anyone behind
