Starting point

Lancashire
PR5 4UQ

Through urban Bamber Bridge on a mixture of quiet roads, cycleway and an industrial estate (quiet at weekend) quickly into open countryside and onto a traffic free single track which leads onto Smithy Lane. A climb up into Brindle and a further climb up to the aptly named Top O' the Lane and Denham. Its all downhill now. Steeply- with care -to cross the A6 and back to base via Leafy Cuerden Valley Park.
