Cycleway to and through Cuerden Valley to the Southern entrance. Across the A6 and up the Steep CowWell lane to cross M61 Bridge with more climbing to Denham Lane. Option here to start descent on Holt Lane or to continue a little further up to an off road track (The site of a former Chorley Work house.) which descends to rejoin Holt Lane.
A short length on Sandy Lane to the familiar route along Pippin Street and more off road. A mix of road and cycleway leads back to base.
