Come for a ride along the hedge-lined country lanes around the beautiful outskirts of Hemel Hempstead.
This is a great route to introduce the rider to cycling on roads with the support of a friendly & fun group. Once we have left Three Cherry Trees lane at Hogg End Lane, the low hum of the M1 is all that stops you imagining we are somewhere far away amongst the wintery countryside.
Please wear layers to cope with the Winter temperatures and a rucksack so you can take off / put on layers as you need. Gloves are highly recommended.
Your bike should be in good working order for this ride, e.g. both brakes working & tyres pumped to pressure – though we can help you get your tyres to the correct pressure if you arrive 15 minutes before the ride start.
Please bring a couple of spare inner tubes – as if you have a puncture, changing the inner tube is the quickest way to fix it.
Should you need to buy a spare inner tube, Dacorum Cycle Hub sell recycled ones at 50p (patched); £1 (unpatched); & from £4 new. We are Not-for-Profit, do free bike assessments and will give you an honest price if your bike needs servicing.
