Day 33 Billie Fleming - Paddington to Berkhamsted

Billie Fleming was an inspirational lady cyclist who is 1938 aged 24 cycled an amazing 29,603 miles in the year getting on her bike every single day. Billie died in 2014 aged 100 and this year is a tribute to her. Every day lady cyclists across the UK are revising the same places she did. On Day 33 she visited Paddington, Hillingdon, Beaconsfield, Amersham and Berkhamsted. This route is approximately 45 miles mostly on roads. We shall be leaving the heart of London and travelling through suburbs to Hillingdon. From Hillingdon it starts to look a little more rural as we cycle out towards Beaconsfield in leafy Buckinghamshire. From Beaconsfield we will cycle to Amersham and then to Berkhamsted. It is a linear route and you can return to London (or other start points) by getting a train from either Berkhamsted (mainline) or Amersham (London Metropolitan). Of course you can also always cycle back! Meet Lesley outside Paddington Mainline station (not the underground station). As she is travelling from Rickmansworth please don't worry if you don't immediately see her. We'd like to keep a reasonable pace on this ride so please only book on it if you are happy to do 45 miles some of it in traffic. Please ensure you carry a spare inner tube in case of puncture and a cycle pump.
