This week we are thinking about running across to Richmond Park and doing laps. We use mainly quiet routes to get there and back so it is fairly steady. Each lap of Richmond Park is 6.7 miles and the hills anticlockwise are less steep but longer than clockwise and you can take a break and do as few or many laps as you like. On a sunny day there are thousands of cyclists.
Route is ridden at an average speed of around 12.5 mph - obviously hills are very personal so we regroup at the top but tend to press on when it's on the level and rolling.
Please ensure you have food, drinks, two spare tubes, pump, levers and scabs and check the hourly forecast to ensure you are appropriately dressed, as this is a long ride.
