Dalston

The new car park, Dalston

This route is mostly flat, undemanding and on quiet minor roads. Making it an ideal confidence builder for anyone looking to venture out a bit further on their bike. Much of the route is scenic and on a clear day, the southern uplands of Scotland and the northern fells of the Lake District can be seen. The final 3 miles back to Dalston is mainly downhill, so a great way to finish a lovely ride. If you’re fairly confident on your bike and ready to broaden your cycling horizons, our Steady rides are ideal. At a comfortable pace, and possibly with some modest hills along the way, rides take place on mainly quiet roads with plenty of sights along the way. Rides are between 6 and 20 miles long, at a moderate pace of between 7 and 10 miles an hour.
