Cycloan Easy Riders - Stockport Parklife

Cycloan Easy Riders ride the last Sunday of the month at 10.00 am. These rides are ideal for beginners and families, with flat, mainly traffic free routes. Qualified ride leaders will act as guides and will be on hand to offer advice and share cycling tips. The pace will be gentle and easy. We only go as fast as the slowest. Starting out from Higher Hillgate, we'll use quiet roads and traffic free cycle paths to get to St Thomas' Park. Here you'll see Stockport's Cycle Speedway, before carrying on to Woodbank Memorial Park (a peaceful green space in the heart of Stockport with beautiful gardens, the meandering River Goyt and panoramic views across the town towards the Peak District). We'll head down into the valley and wooded area along the river bank before returning the way we came. A wonderful autumn route, very picturesque due to the colourful autumn leaves. This is a very easy route with one challenging decline and one challenging incline. Finish time approx. 11.00 am. Please ensure that your bike is in good working order. We'd recommend that riders carry a spare tube, puncture repair kit and pump; and wear safe and comfortable clothing.
