Children are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult - they should be booked on as an additional rider.

If you do not have a bike of your own, you can still take part in a ride by taking advantage of the special free bike hire for ABC rides from the Stevenage Cycling Hub. It is essential that you book this in advance by emailing [email protected] by the day before the ride.

We organise free rides for Cycling UK members. If you are not a Cycling UK member you are welcome to join us for up to 3 rides. After 3 rides you will need to join Cycling UK if you would like to continue to join our led rides, more details about membership at www.cyclinguk.org/join-today

These rides are a great way to get out and about discovering the cycleway network across Stevenage.

We will complete a 6-mile circuit using traffic free paths and quiet link roads.

There is no planned stop but we do not rush. Costello's cafe at Fairlands park is open before and after the ride for hot drinks and food. On the second Saturday each month, we visit the Farmers' Market which takes place on the High Street in the Old Town.

Bring a drink and snack if you wish and an extra layer or waterproof according to the forecast. Don't forget money and a bag if you wish to buy anything at the Farmers' Market.

New and returning riders are very welcome
