Cycletta Surrey Taster Ride

This ride is for those preparing for Surrey Cycletta on 7th July and is approx 21 miles and goes up some local hills and out towards the Hog's Back. This ride is therefore NOT suitable for beginners. We will meet at the entrance of Broadwater Park (the Leisure Centre/Park entrance not the school) on Summers Road Farncombe at 9.50am for a prompt 10am start. We will do a quick bike check and then head out through Farncombe up the Hill to go towards Hurtmore, where we will follow the Elstead Road towards Farnham (but we don't go that far). We will turn up Crooksbury Road to go towards The Sands, upon reaching Seale we intend stopping at the local tea rooms (a popular choice with local cyclists) for a break. Once refreshed we will then travel along the slopes of the Hog's Back to Puttenham before turning back towards to Hurtmore to retrace our steps to Farncombe. Wearing a helmet is advisable as we will be on the roads. It's a good idea to bring water, a snack to keep you going, puncture repair kit, lock and money for coffee/tea if you wish to buy refreshments.
