This ride is by Central London Outdoor Group (CLOG) http://www.clog.org.uk. Non CLOG members can come up to 3 cycle rides or other events to try us out before joining. CLOG is aimed at adults rather than families. Always check our live event list in case of late updates: http://www.clog.org.uk/p/cycl.html
This ride follows Cycle Route 21 from Woldingham in Surrey to Greenwich Cutty Sark and is (mostly) downhill all the way. There is an initial hill to climb and then either flat or downhill except for a few oscillations.
I've not done this before but looks rather fun!
We are initially cycling through countryside woods and parks, and then through London suburbs but on quieter roads, through parks and country parks, and in the latter part of the ride mainly on a riverside cycle path by the Pool and then the Ravensbourne and finally Deptford Creek to reach the Thames and then Greenwich Cutty Sark. On the latter park of the ride we may be on a shared cycle and walking path but it is only gently downhill by the stage we are meandering by the tributories of the Thames.
We will have lunch along the way at a cafe or pub.
Meeting up:
Be on the 10:53 from Victoria, calling at Clapham Junction, East Croydon and various other stations getting into Woldingham at 11:26am. I will probably get on a Clapham Junction.
