Lunch stop currently planned as Dynervor Arms, 1 Ash Rd, Troedyrhiw, Merthyr Tydfil CF48 4HH so that we're fuelled and watered before the big climb out of Merthyr begins. Possible second stop at Michaelston-y-Fedw, Cardiff CF3 6XS before entering back into Cardiff if we're tired.
Route is almost all NCN and tarmac with a few roads, and a 1.6km section of dirt path. We may be able to go round this if people want to, but it will involve 200ft+ extra climbing
Bring tools to repair minor mechanicals. Make sure to bring snacks and water to avoid hydration issues. As with all valley's NCN routes I recommend tyres with some level of puncture protection due to the chance of glass and thorns
