Dewsbury has a wealth of cycle routes and there is no better place to start exploring them than from Savile Town Wharf.  This flat traffic free route along the Calder and Hebble canal is just perfect for anybody wanting to get out on the bike in a car free environment. The furthest point en route this 5 mile ride is a very picturesque lock where will stop for a break before heading back to Savile Town Wharf. Not cycled for a while and looking for an easy way to get back in the saddle? Fancy a fun way to get your friends or kids riding? Our Easygoing rides are great for building confidence for all abilities and ages along relaxed, mostly traffic-free routes. They’re up to six miles long, with a gentle pace of around six miles an hour.
