Starting point

London
CR0 1GY

Saturday July 4th. We will take back routes to Mitcham Common to cross that on our way to Colliers Wood and Wimbledon Common. We will stop for lunch at the Windmill Tearooms on the common, which has many tables inside and outside under canopies. After lunch a leisurely park ride on the Ladies Mile shared cycle route takes us to the long downhill road to the Thames at Putney. A short stretch of Thames Path later, we turn south and follow the River Wandle back to Croydon.

It's 25 miles long, about 3 1/2 hours cycling. With stops we can expect to be back at Queens Gardens 3 to 3:30pm. It is good for road bikes - there is 500 metres of easy gravel track on Mitcham Common, but that is all. Please bring a spare inner tube and definitely a water bottle.

We leave from Queens Gardens CR0 1GY at 10am.

Croydon Social Cycling's WhatsApp group is at https://chat.whatsapp.com/FA8sK41PspPG0NcJz7h3bE Expect to see other riders joining from there. Use it to stay in touch about any changes on the day and to locate us en route, enjoy social chat and find other rides.
