Starting point

London
CR0 1GY

A visit to Horniman Museum and Gardens for lunch. We’ll ride from Croydon through Biggin Wood and Norbury Park to Tooting Common. Thence to Brockwell Park for a good ride around and Dulwich Park for ditto and on to the Horniman in Forest Hill. We will come back to Croydon on Waterlink Way.

Road bikes are fine on this route. There is a 5% uphill on Lordship Lane for 1/3 mile to the Horniman Gardens entrance. That’s the climb of the ride.

The cafe has indoor and outdoor seating and is between gardens and museum. There will be time to wonder round the free museum.

Meet in Queens Gardens CR0 1GY at 10am. Please bring a spare inner tube. You might need to lock your bike for lunch, for instance if we are eating indoors. The ride is 23 miles. Back by 3pm.
