Starting point

London
CR0 1GY

Sunday February 23rd. Croydon Social Cycling finally gets in gear with a gentle introduction to 2025's cycling: an easy, flat, respectably scenic, 16 mile ride. This ride features a new way to get to Colliers Wood to return on the Wandle Trail and a surprise nature reserve. We will ride through Wandle Park, then on cycleways and shared pavement past Mitcham Common and through this mystery nature reserve then turn into Merton Abbey Mills and back to Croydon on the Wandle Trail. Only 16 miles.

Meet in Queens Gardens CR0 1GY at 10:00 and that is where the ride ends. We should be back by 1:30

Don’t forget to dress warmly, especially hands and feet. Bring water, spare inner tube and maybe a strong lock for lunching indoors. We will take a refreshment break in Merton Abbey Mills which has copious outdoor seating but it might be too cold or wet and need us seated indoors.
