Croal Your Way to Stinkbomb Hill

Destination Stinkbomb Hill!  This route makes its way up Bolton's Middlebrook Trail as it meanders alongside the River Croal.  Keep your eyes peeled as you pass Deane Golf Club and the observant amongst you will spot an imposter along the trail; it’s a mobile phone mast disguised as a fir tree.  You may have perch and roach swimming alongside you and, if you are quick, you'll catch a glimpse of kingfishers as they skim above the water.  Sections of the trail are on loose shale so wider tyres are a sensible choice.
