This route follows the Fallowfield Loop, then heads through Reddish Vale to the River Tame before meeting the Peak Forest Canal before joining the Ashton Canal at Portland Basin. We then head towards Manchester till we meet the Yellow Brick Road before heading back down the Fallowfield to our start point.

This route contains a wide variety of surfaces typically tarmac, gravel and cobbles. The route has 5 sections on roads but the majority is offroad.

We will stop for refreshments at the cafe within the Museum at Portland Basin, please bring a lock and a method of payment.

Please ensure you have a spare inner tube. l recommend you wear a helmet l always do.
