Cressington to Lady Heyes

Please Note
Although this is generally a road ride, there is an easy going towpath on the way out and an easy going trail on the return
This is not a heads down bum up ride. If you want to go fast, this ride is not for you. The average speed is about 10 mph.

From Cressington we head out towards the Runcorn Bridge via New Mersey Retail Park and the Jaguar Land Rover plant. Then on to Hale Bank and West Bank for a possible comfort break.
From the bridge we pick up the Bridgewater Canal to Preston Brook. From there we get on to the Cheshire Plain aiming for Willow Green, Acton Bridge, the Kingsley before the main stop at Lady Heyes Craft Centre.
On the return we go through Frodsham, Rocksavage, Weston, and Runcorn before the bridge. From the bridge we head towards Pickering’s Pasture, Hale, Speke, Garston and then back to Cressington

The main break is well over half way around the ride to if you want to eat something beforehand, bring it with you.

This is not a new ride but there are variations during the route to keep it interesting

Mainly towpath, quiet lanes a easy going trail

The main stop is at Lady Heyes but will be stopping elsewhere to regroup if required.
