This ride starts from the car park by the side of the canal bridge in Barnby Dun, with meet up time at 6.15pm and ride departing at 6.30pm.

Part of a series of shorter Woo Woo rides designed to enable beginners to enjoy riding Woo Woo style over a much shorter distance, though of course non beginners are also more than welcome. These rides are paced at around 6mph. The route takes us the back way out of Barnby Dun straight onto country lanes through to Bramwith, taking in this scenic village we then head towards Kirk House Green where we cross the canal and then leave the lane and follow instead the trans pennine trail along the canal bank towards Braithwaite. Arriving in Braithwaite we follow the trans pennine trail along country lanes as it takes us on a circular route towards Thorpe in Balne. Leaving behind the trans pennine trail at Thorpe in Balne we follow Marsh Road past the site of the now demolished power station and return to Fordstead Lane back to the start point. Rest stops can be taken as often as anyone needs and we always ride to the pace of our slowest participants. Here's a copy of the route which you can view in map my ride: http://www.mapmyride.com/routes/view/633595054 and this one can be viewed in google maps: https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit?mid=zMeb8P79P2t8.kDS66WsfSZxE Make sure you wear your helmet (this is compulsory, if you have no helmet you wont be able to ride with us) and appropriate clothing for the weather (if you have any bright or hi-viz then wear that). As usual we do expect you to have ensured your bike is roadworthy and that you have carried out basic pre ride checks; you should also carry at least one spare inner tube, a pump, and tools to enable you to change a tube if necessary. Dont forget too to bring money for refreshments and a mobile 'phone. DISCLAIMER:- This is a purely social group of like minded people sharing a love of cycling, it is not a formal organisation nor does it have any form of legal structure. We do not profess to be trained ride leaders but do have experience of doing so. You are free to choose to ride with us but in doing so please note that you do so in acceptance that this is entirely at your own risk. We cannot accept responsibility for any loss or injury suffered as a result of your participation.
