Covid-19 measures in place for the safety of us all:

* If you, or anyone in your household, or contacts have had any symptoms of Covid-19, ie new persistant cough, or fever or loss of taste or smell, in the last 14 days, or if you feel unwell in any other way, then please do not sign up. I will also need you to confirm to me at the ride start that you and your household are symptom free.

* If you are in the extremely vulnerable category or have been told to self-isolate Welsh Cycling recommends you do not participate in activities

* Please maintain social distancing of a minimum of 2 metres 'head to head' at all times from each other and from members of the public, where it is safe to do so, especially when stopping at junctions, crossings, hazards and when off the cycles. This also includes refreshment stops.
* Please avoid touching others' cycles, or sharing anything, eg food, spares, money (ideally bring a card).
* Bring your own hand gel/wipes, drink and snack and face covering. Also money/card if you wish to buy refreshments, and a plastic bag to sit on! NB come prepared to fix issues on your bike yourself if at all possible, ie pump, spare tube, tyre levers. Guidance will be available at a distance. Cycle helmets are advised.
If you have any questions, please either 'message ride creator' through Lets Ride, or post it on the ride conversation tab

This is a very pleasant scenic ride along the River Taff and out to Cosmeston Lakes Country Park via Cogan returning through Penarth We will cycle down the Taff Trail to Penarth Marina, and over the Millenium Bridge, past Cogan station and up a gentle hill and connecting to the quiet country lane to the back of Cosmeston Lakes. We'll have a stop there (approx 30 min) for 'bring your own' refreshments (drink/snack), and toilets are also available. Then we'll set off to join the cycle path along the old railway line back to Penarth and the Cardiff Bay Wetlands, returning up the Taff trail to the start. Option to just stop for loos at Cosmeston, and delay the refreshment stop until we get to Cardiff Bay. See the route here https://ridewithgps.com/routes/35710143

We will be cycling on a mixture of traffic free shared cycle paths, quiet roads and country lanes. There are a few short hills, you should be confident with using your gears and cycling in narrow lanes.

There will be a stop at Cosmeston Lakes, toilets available.

We never leave anyone behind :)
