Our route takes to Stanford via Fernham, Shellingford and Hatford, on Country roads and across the A417. Our return journey involves two short sections of the A 417 and Park Lane (Monopoly fans do not pass GO) then home via Baulking and Uffington. This is one of the flattest rides of this distance that we can do from Shrivenham with a total climb of only 200m

Another chance to do one of the flatter rides from our base in Shriv. This 22 mile loop takes out to the birth place of comedienne Pam Ayres and we can share a joke or two over coffee n cake

Most of this ride is on country lanes although to keep the distance to a minimum we will spend a short time on the A417 but riding under the watchful eye of your ride leader.

We will be stopping midway for refreshments at a cafe that is very popular with cyclists in the region

Don’t forget a full water bottle with your favourite thirst quencher. For all our rides you should bring at least a spare inner tube and a pump. If your wheels are bolted-on then a spanner that fits the wheel nuts is also essential. Helmets are not compulsory but most definitely recommended. You should dress appropriately for the weather, and consider bringing your mobile phone along with cash or debit card for the refreshment stop. Some place’s only take card payments. Although our bikes should be safe at the coffee stop you should consider bringing a lock

We welcome new comers to our ride group, but we want you to enjoy the ride so please consider the route, distance and terrain. If this ride is likely to be a bit difficult then check out our other rides which we put on for newbies and returners and join us on something easier
